AOC 21:9 29" Q2963PM - My thoughts after a few weeks of usage.

AOC 21:9 29" Q2963PM - My thoughts after a few weeks of usage.

So have I've gotten use to the screen yet, and what are my thoughts.

Well first off, let me start out by saying, I absolutely love the aspect ratio now.
In the start my eyes had a hard time adjusting from the 16:9 to 21:9, but now it just feels natural.
Thou I've noticed that my length from the screen to my eyes is not far enough, because when I look at a regular 23" 16:9 from the same distance, I do not have to move my eyes(that much) to look from the right to the left side of the screen, I have to do that now.

But that might be my only complaint about this product, I've really gotten use to it, and absolutely recommends this to everyone who wants to try out something new.

So how is the gaming experience ?

First off, I've had to upgrade my system to a 2nd 660ti, just to keep my games fluent. But the field of view might give you a bit motion sickness for some people, but I love the wide angle.
When I play Arma II / DayZ, the game is not optimized for 21:9, but only 16:9, that makes the game stretched out, thou I'm able to run it in 2560x1080. What I did here was:
1- I went in the game and changed resolution to 1920x1080
2- I used the monitor to change the resolution to 1920x1080

And that gave me a perfect 16:9 screen in the middle, thou with black borders around the edge.

But the best part about the screen is that it saves THAT specific resolution to that game, so when you log out, it will be back in 21:9, and @ 2560x1080. It saves that setting for that specific game.

THAT'S fricking awesome!

In this video we decided to take a stroll to skalisky island, and check out the new bases. Thou we walked straight into a trap.

DayZ Standalone - Request to the developers

DayZ Standalone - Request to the developers

So after waiting for a LONG time, I've decided to create a video to hopefully gain some support or reach out towards the right persons.
As mentioned in the video, I do not wish to push the Standalone, but I wish more official updates from the developers.

Please comment below what you think?

[DayZ Survivor Stories] - Series 1 - Episode 2

[DayZ Survivor Stories] - Series 1 - Episode 2

The squad and I took a stroll from Balota to Solnichi. On our way we meet some players, as bandits we did what we had to do - DESTROY THEM.
The mod/game is DayZ, playing on the map Chenarus.

[DayZ Survivor Stories] - Series 1 - Episode 1

[DayZ Survivor Stories] - Series 1 - Episode 1

Today we went to NEAF, and lured some idiots to rescue us. They tried, but they failed. Our two squad-mates pretented to need morphine and a ride back to Cherno, and a trusting pilot took the chance to help them. We later found out that the Airfield was swarming with enemies, which we had to encounter.

This Series is showing some awesome gameplay content from the mod DayZ to the game Arma II OA / Combined Operations.
The Survivor Stories will show fottage of gameplay in DayZ, in various maps.
The series is NOT a specific map series.
